July 1: International Joke Day
July starts off with a challenge to tickle your student’s funny bone. July 1 is recognized as International Joke Day and there are many options for celebrating! Get started with a few of these ideas: Have students participate in a joke contest. The funniest joke as voted by other students wins. Have a Joker’s Wild day by playing funny movies and serving popcorn. They say that laughter is the best medicine, and there are a lot of health benefits that are associated with laughing. Laughter draws people together in a manner that triggers healthy emotional and physical changes in the body.

July 4: Independence Day
Independence Day, better known as the 4th of July, is celebrated on July 4 each year. This celebration commemorates the passage of the Declaration of Independence, announcing the separation of the 13 North American colonies from Great Britain. The holiday is celebrated across the United States with parades, fireworks shows, picnics, concerts, and other festivities.

July 20: International Chess Day
There are several different places chess clubs thrive in. Join a chess club at your middle schools and high schools; Local community centers, and sports clubs or find a reputable one online. Join and play (or learn to play) with new people, and maybe even learn some new chess moves along the way. Play human chess or have a chess-themed movie night. You can select from “Searching for Bobby Fischer” (1993), “Queen of Katwe” (2016), or the recent Netflix series, “The Queen's Gambit” to begin with.

July 21: Be Someone Day
National Be Someone Day is observed on July 21 every year in the United States of America. National Be Someone Day challenges each of us to make a difference in the life of a child by reporting child abuse. The aim of National Be Someone Day is to build a future in which there will be no child abuse. The day helps us become better people and teaches us to be kind and empathetic adults who can make a positive difference in a child’s life. We can do this by listening to children when they speak up and respect their personal space and boundaries.

July 30: International Day of Friendship
International Day of Friendship was designated by the United Nations General Assembly (U.N.). On July 30, we give thanks for these relationships worldwide. The U.N. encourages governments, community groups, and other organizations to coordinate activities and events that celebrate the friendships that we keep close to us. those friendships that feel like home. June 1: World Milk Day
Students can have a Milk Taste Test: While blindfolded they can try different types of milk (dairy, almond, oat, etc.) and rate them.

June 3: World Bicycle Day
Program can offer Bike Safety Workshop: Teach helmet safety and basic maintenance. Programs can host a family Group Ride: Organize a scenic ride with checkpoints.
