About the Program
Tools for Teachers is a collaborative initiative between the Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) and the Education Foundation of Harris County (EFHC), created to support educators across Harris County school districts by providing essential classroom supplies at the start of the school year.
Each year, EFHC allocates funds to its Partners in Education initiatives, made possible through a dedicated annual contribution from the HCDE Board of Education. The goal of this program is to ease the financial burden on teachers by helping cover the cost of materials they often purchase out-of-pocket to enrich student learning.
